Krpan Group is a diversified family-owned private real estate company with origins in land development and a history that stretches back to 1973. Since then, we have expanded into a vertically integrated real estate company with divisions in residential, industrial, office, and commercial/retail. Our portfolio includes millions of square feet of prestige office and business park and commercial projects that we have developed, built-out and manage in-house, and over 5,000 houses delivered to families who now call it home. With a proven track record, Krpan Group has been quietly changing the landscape of Real Estate in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area for nearly half a century.

At the core of Krpan Group is our expertise and experience in building communities. From detached homes to schools and parks, to the underground services that allow it all to happen. Today, over 5,000 families live in communities developed by Krpan Group. Through partnerships with some of the industry’s leading home builders including Fernbrook Homes and Remington Group, Krpan Group’s vertically integrated vision has created welcoming communities in neighbourhoods across the western GTA. With the recent launch of NEWRISE, our condominium division, we are positioned to continue leaving our mark for the future, while keeping the same boutique family-run personal attention to detail.

From developing, to building, to property management, Krpan Group’s commercial division brings professionalism and integrity to the needs of retailers. Strong, lasting relationships with commercial tenants include major names like Starbucks, No Frills and BMO as well as small ‘mom and pop’ shops, all of which get the boutique care that each deserve, and only a family business can provide.

JOHN KRPAN
Chief Executive Officer
After starting his career as a Realtor at the age of eighteen, John has pursued his passion for real estate across the full spectrum of the industry. Early on, he foresaw the opportunity for growth through vertical integration and partnering with reputable home builders. Today, he leads a multi-faceted real estate company with ongoing developments and investments in Residential Communities, Retail Shopping Centres, Commercial Office Buildings, Industrial Buildings and Unique Financing Structures.
STEVE MALOVIC
Chief Operating Officer
As a CPA and CA, Steve pursued the public practice path, becoming a tax partner in a Regional GTA CA firm where he developed an expertise in litigation support. He subsequently joined a large food manufacturing company where he was able to increase efficiency, grow revenues through acquisitions and ultimately lead the company through a successful divestiture to a private equity company. He has served as the COO of Krpan Group since 2009,
MARIA LOMBARDO
Chief Financial Officer
Maria leads the Krpan Group team responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, tax, and corporate structure. She has over 30 years of public accounting and private industry experience primarily focused on real estate including the position of Partner at a Regional accounting firm before joining the Krpan Group. Maria is a CPA and CA and also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.
JOHN A. KRPAN
Senior Investment Manager
John has always shared his family’s passion for real estate, and in 2016 he joined the company full-time. John manages land development, investments, and helps to direct the growth of the Krpan Group. John is also an Angel investor and enjoys being part of the start-up community.
TONY TRAN
Controller
Tony is a CPA, CA who started with Krpan Group in 2018 and has proven to be a vital team member. He manages all functions for accounting including reporting, project financing, cash flow, taxation, accounts receivable and accounts payable. He also assists the operations team with property management, leasing and development. He is currently serving as the Chair and Treasurer of a non-profit agency, Path Employment Services in Hamilton.
NELSON GONCALVES
Development Manager
Nelson is a CET, with 20 years of experience in the development industry, with roles in the public sector, engineering consulting and development. Nelson has been with Krpan Group since 2020 and is a key member of the organization. His current role is the Development Manager, responsible for all functions related to planning, construction and delivery of Krpan Group’s existing and future development projects.
